Sakarni
Repositioning a construction-materials brand from product catalogue to a brand worth following
The Brief
An audit of Sakarni's Instagram found it functioning as a product catalogue rather than a brand voice — technically accurate, but with none of the community or shareable value the platform rewards.
Where the Warring work was built on large-scale quantitative listening, this brief was creative-led: reposition Sakarni from a supplier of construction material into a brand that contractors, dealers, and homeowners would actually choose to follow.
Competitive Positioning
A review of nine construction-material brands found a recurring pattern: strong category credibility, but little emotional or community connection with the end audience — the gap Sakarni's content strategy was built to close.
| Competitor | Content style | Opportunity for Sakarni |
|---|---|---|
| Birla White | Industrial, trust-led, national scale | Position Sakarni as home-grown & design-focused |
| JK Cement | Performance & heritage; deep dealer loyalty | Build a digital-first community for modern homeowners |
| UltraTech | Infrastructure-focused; unmatched scale | Own the "Science of Smooth" wall-finishing niche |
| Walplast | Aggressive Tier 2/3 expansion | Add emotional depth to technical claims |
Creative Concepts Developed
Four flagship reel concepts tested different emotional registers — problem/ consequence, psychological thriller and suspense — to find which storytelling mode worked best for a technical, low-emotion product category.
The Invisible Cost
The most expensive part of construction isn't the material — it's redoing the job when the wrong one was used.
"Sabse mehenga hota hai... Ghalat material se dobara kaam karna."
The Sisyphus Wall
A wall stuck in an endless plaster–crack–replaster loop, with currency notes literally patching the cracks.
Sakarni logo glows as the "missing piece" in every cycle
The Uninvited Guest
Cheap material becomes a hidden monster that returns once the house is already built.
"Shortcuts chodo, Sakarni chuno."
The Curious Scratch
One loose thread of cheap putty slowly unravels an entire wall.
"Finish wahi, jo saath na chhode. Sakarni."
Before-After Refuses to End
The transformation is tracked at 1 month, 6 months and 2 years — not just at "after."
Only one finish still looks fresh at year two
Content Strategy & Calendar
The concepts were translated into an operating rhythm: shifting the feed to roughly 80% Reels and 20% carousels, publishing four to five times a week, and rewriting the Instagram bio around a brand story instead of a product list — sustained by five recurring content pillars.
Outcome
Evidence that the underlying skill behind all three projects — finding the one insight an audience already feels but hasn't heard said out loud — transfers cleanly from a political brand to a construction brand.
